Matthew has short, spiky red hair. He usually wears standard boyish T-shirts and shorts.

== Personality ==

Matthew is a novice trainer, much like Fortis. He is easily excitable, but tends to turn hostile quickly. He also has an interest in digging up things, particularly fossils.

== Relationships ==

Matthew and [[Fortis]] were shipped with each other from the moment they first met, and not just by [[Sunny]].

Matthew has mentioned he has a sister, named [[Lily (Nega-Counterpart)|Lily]]. He also has a brother named [[Kyle (Nega-Counterpart)|Kyle]] and a sister named [[Jenna]].
