* Braker gave me a character theme song. It's "Peace of Mind", by this band called Boston. I must admit that the song fits quite well, especially in terms of its chorus. The first and last line are ten syllables. It was going to be "Go Your Own Way", which is by a band known as Fleetwood Mac. I can see why Braker considered it. Almost every line is ten syllables. However, the lyrics don't fit me well, so I'm happy he went with "Peace of Mind".

For best results, read this in the voice of Tom Kenny as Hal Gibson from Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!

...You really would like me to write a page?

Braker, you know iambic makes it hard. I'll end up writing very awkwardly.

...Very well, if that is what you insist. Who knows, perhaps I might find this page fun.

Hello to everybody reading this. I don't believe we've ever met before. I presume you would like to know my name. For simplicity's sake, call me Charon. I'm Leonard Braker's West Sea Gastrodon. I'm also the seventh mon on his team. It's very nice to speak to all of you. I hope you will learn more about myself.

Shall we begin with the introductions?

Personality

I feel I should start with my intellect. I will admit my intellect is high. However, I'm not as smart as Braker. In my spare time, I read old classic books. Of course, when I say "classic", I mean "myths". To be more specific, I prefer Greek. Greek myth is just fascinating to me. The stories told are very intriguing. The gods and goddesses, even more so. Of course, I do like other mythos, too. Greek is merely the one I most prefer. It is the mythos that gave me my name. However, I do not prefer to read. Instead, I much prefer picture study. It's a great way to analyze the world. That is to say, the world of the mythos. Reading can only get you very far.

...I do not know if you've noticed my speech. I speak in a rather distinctive way. For starters, I quite like to use long words. In fact, I believe there's a term for it. What was the term that Braker used again? Sesquipedalian loquaciousness...? Well, anyways, that's not the only thing. There's a more famous aspect to my speech-- it's in blank iambic pentameter. Every line is ten syllables long. This also extends to my full birth name: Charonus Tritonalicus III. My Hasslemon handle is in it, too: encyclopediaTritonicha. It extends to my typing quirk as well-- see below for information on that. It's not always perfectly stressed, but still. I have spoken this way for my whole life. I do not know what caused this quirk of speech. All I know is my parents have it, too.

Unfortunately, I do have my flaws. I can come off as slightly arrogant, and my speech may be pretentious to some. However, generally I mean well. I have a good heart and am quite civil. I don't wish to dishearten anyone, whether it be unintentional or not. I remember when I first met Cuddles, who is Leonard Braker's Galvantula. He offered to hug me, and I declined. The poor Galvantula sank instantly. I must admit I felt quite bad for him. Despite my politeness, I can be strict-- which explains my Adamant nature well. I don't like being hugged or patronized, and I take battles quite seriously. Braker has not seen me in battle, though. However, when he does, he should be warned-- my Muddy Water attack is quite strong. He may or may not realize that yet. I also do not tolerate abuse, especially towards Pokemon. Lithium is an example of this-- I can’t possibly forgive his Trainer. Abandoning your Pokemon is wrong. Despite this, though, I do like to relax. Mostly I sit on rocks along the beach. Since capture, though, I much prefer my ball. Ultimately, I’m content where I am. All I want is to have my peace of mind-- which should be easy now that I have friends.

There's one more thing about me you should know. I have an upper-class English accent. Serkis also has an English accent... which means that we should get along quite well.

Anyways... I believe we should move on.

Details

  • Met: Braker first met me along Heahea Beach.
  • Ability: My Ability is known as Storm Drain. It absorbs any Water-type attacks. I am also immune to Water moves.
  • Favorite Move: As I've said, Muddy Water is quite strong. It is quite possibly my favorite move.
  • Nature: Adamant- I must say, it fits quite well.
  • Characteristic: "Often lost in thought"-- that is very true.
  • Ball: I was caught in a Great Ball by Braker. I'm the first mon to hold this distinction.
  • Hasslemon typing quirk: My Hasslemon Typing Quirk Looks Like This. Every First Letter Is Capitalized. There Is Also Standard Punctuation. Of Course, Every Line Is Ten Syllables.

Known Moves

  • TypeWater.gif: Muddy Water
  • TypeNormal.gif: Body Slam
  • TypeGround.gif: Earthquake, Earth Power
  • TypeRock.gif: Ancient Power
  • TypePoison.gif: Sludge Bomb

Trivia

Here are more things about me you should know:

  • I was, of course, named after a Greek god. Specifically, Hades' ferryman. But I was also named for a genus-- a gastropod genus, to be precise. The genus is known as Charonia. It has a snail that is called Triton. He is, of course, yet another Greek god. It's no wonder my parents named me this.
  • I have told you my Hasslemon handle. I have not told you of its origins. It serves as a pun on a famous book: Encyclopedia Brittanica. It also is a reference to Triton.
  • Braker gave me a character theme song.
  • Despite my quirk, I do not like Shakespeare. In fact, I absolutely despise him. I won't deny his impact, however. That man certainly did know how to write... even if his works are deplorable.
  • I have plenty of firsts among this team. I am the first mon caught in a Great Ball. I am also the first to have a name-- as in a full name, prior to capture.

Well, I suppose I've made it to the end.

...Braker was right; this page was pretty fun. Anyways, I will go off to read now. I do hope that we meet again someday.

Farewell for now, my brand new human friends.
