Teishi

Teishi is Sakura's Greninja and leader of the GreNinja Squad

Appearance

A regular Greninja. In human form he appears to be dressed in a more modernized Ninja outfit that mirrors his Greninja appearance in color, even having a pink scarf that covers his mouth and a hood that resembles a Greninja's head.

Personality

Very outgoing, friendly and cheerful, Teishi is pretty much always in a good mood unless he gets into a bad situation. He won't stop at nothing to do what he thinks he should no matter the risks and as such he has a rather strong, if naive, sense of justice. Despite that, he's still a bit of a child and can sometimes act without thinking and ending up doing something wrong, though he's rather quick to learn. He also some problems in that he's always rather worried if he's being a good leader of if he's simply doing his part right; he's also afraid of someday disappointing his friends and/or trainer, so he always gives his all no matter what he's doing or how important it is.

Battle Strategy

Teishi strikes fast and hard at all times and uses his great speed to get around other attacks and confuse opponents. He can make good use of his Protean ability to take less damage or outright negate an attack from an opponent. All of that makes him one of the more reliable Pokémon in Sakura's team.

Relationships

Humans

Teishi is very loyal to his trainer Sakura due to her taking him with her and taking him out of the loneliness he had been living in for some time, to the point where he'll do everything in his power to help her and the very thought of disappointing scares him. He sometimes asks her for advice and usually appreciates it. Sakura herself enjoys Teishi's company and is more than willing to assist him and his team when possible, even though she sometimes worry that they might end up causing trouble.

There was some conflict between Teishi and Herbert due to a prank that he and his clan pulled on him which resulted in a big argument and ended up doing nothing but anger all involved. However that experience did make Teishi mature a bit and decide to be more careful with the activities he does. Despite the incident, the Greninja never really held a grudge against the boy and didn't hesitate to help him save Kirk.

Teishi and Aline became friends once he allowed her to take part on the GreNinja Squad's training by basically being used a living dummy for the execution of traps. They were careful to not harm her and gave her a fun challenge that ended up with the young artist enjoying herself a lot and hoping to play with them again, ending with her hugging Teishi, who also had a lot of fun with the experience.

Pokémon

Teishi is the leader of the GreNinja Squad and as such he makes sure that he's fair with everyone and tries to make so that everyone has fun in their stay in the clan. He doesn't have any strong opinions on the members and mostly just treats them as he would do with any other, but he does seem to have a stronger bond with Ryu, probably due to being the one he spent the most time with.

Sylva adopted Teishi as a little brother and Regina didn't take too long to accept him into the family, but he doesn't really consider them to be his family. Neverthless, he treats Sylva much like how a brother would and loves to spend some time with her due to how much fun they have together doing silly things together.

Trivia

• His name means "Apprentice" in Japanese, hinting at his relative inexperience.
