Personality
Lithium's personality is effectively a mix of those of Dio, Helmsman, and a stereotypical '50's greaser. He has all of the hotheaded recklessness of the first two, with a dash of the charm, cockiness, and "bad boy" attitude associated with greasers. Most notably, Lithium is a massive fan of obstacle courses, speed tests, and extreme sports. When we first meet him, he's attending his 5th consecutive Vikavolt Stunt Show tournament-- one that he ultimately ends up winning. Lithium is shown to be a bit of a showboater with immense self-confidence, often pulling incredible stunts that other Vikavolt are hesitant to do, such as flying straight through a ring of fire and not even flinching. He is also obsessed with things that go fast, such as cars, go-karts, and motorcycles-- as a matter of fact, his main vehicle of choice, even as a Vikavolt, is a lime-green motorcycle adorned with his racing number #73. Lithium seems to have a very strong attachment to this motorcycle, as when he was caught by Braker, one of the first things he asked him is if he could keep the motorcycle. Upon his capture, the motorcycle went into his Great Ball. He also didn't even flinch when said motorcycle caught partially on fire after he flew through the fire ring in the stunt show. Despite his slight cocky edge, however, Lithium is shown to be a very good sport towards other Pokemon, as shown when he congratulated #54 despite the fact that #54 did not end up winning. It's also implied that Lithium is very good friends with the rest of his fellow Vikavolts in the stunt show. However, despite his exterior personality, Lithium-- like Dio-- has a dark past. Before being caught by Leonard Braker, Lithium had another Trainer who was an extremely strict perfectionist. Before Braker caught him, Lithium would consistently lose Stunt Show matches, and was belittled and berated by his old Trainer for it. It's implied that Lithium's slight showboating nature came from a desire to impress his old Trainer, but even when he did win, his Trainer berated Lithium for not breaking the world record. Lithium responded that he didn't even care or know about the record-- he just wanted to impress his Trainer. This shows that, like Dio, Lithium has an immensely strong desire to prove himself to other people and Pokemon. It also shows that, unlike Dio, Lithium does not care all that much about perfection or being the absolute best at something-- he just wants to have fun and show off. However, it's still very clear that losing has a bit of an impact on Lithium, as he started to cry upon telling Walter, Cuddles, Panto, and Braker about his old Trainer's behavior towards him.
His favorite Gamecube game is Psycho Math.

Trivia
- Lithium's name is derived from his Electric typing, specifically being a reference to lithium batteries. However, 7 and 3 are also the atomic mass (rounded up) and the atomic number, respectively, of lithium. In addition to #73 being Lithium's racing number, they are also the first two numbers of Vikavolt's Pokedex number, 738.
- According to Goldenheart388, Lithium's Hasslemon handle is chargingBattery (CB). While it initially refers to the process of charging a battery (referencing both Lithium's species and his Electric typing), the "charging" part has a double meaning, serving as a reference to Lithium's generally reckless and almost daredevil-esque personality, as well as his speed.
- According to Goldenheart388, Lithium's regular character theme is "Bat Out of Hell" by Meat Loaf, his Broadway character theme is "Greased Lightning" from Grease, and his headcanon voice is that of Aaron Tveit as Danny Zuko in the live version of the aforementioned musical. Originally, however, Lithium's regular theme was "Highway Star" by Deep Purple.
