David Ambvrose is a former Pokefutures scientist inadvertently responsible for the creation of the Scythermen, and in particular cared for Mia before Pokefutures' downfall caused him to retreat to his home in Black City, Unova.

- In the WAAPT universe, Mia's name is an inadvertent corruption of Camilia from Fire Emblem Fates. Her surname is similarly inadvertently derived from Sarah Kerrigan of the Starcraft series.
