Paul (Kim)

Paul is Kimberly Bond's Butterfree, and the first Pokemon she acquired on her journey.

Personality

Much like his namesake Beatle, Paul the Butterfree is cheerful, modest, and generally a peacekeeper. Absolutely nothing fazes him, not even Fire or Rock-type Pokemon, and he will usually stop a fight from happening before even daring to get into one himself. This was most notably shown when Kim got Kaylan for the first time. Upon seeing the Pokemon that would be named Kaylan, Hanuman, and Ritchie fighting in Rowan's lab, Paul wasted little time talking to Kaylan to see what was going on, and eventually got Kaylan and Hanuman to realize the misunderstanding without raising his voice or physically interfering even once. If he does have to battle, he much prefers to use status moves such as Sleep Powder or String Shot before any kind of actual, physical Bug-type moves. Paul absolutely loves music, particularly the music of his namesake's bands- his very first scene consisted of him singing "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" to himself while Kim counted his syllables in her quest to learn Monese. By his own admission, though, he loves the Beatles far more than he does Wings. Of all of Kim's Pokemon thus far, he is the only one to not have a Personality File of him shown on-screen.
