Hyul
Hyul is an island located to the far west of Alola near the equator, halfway between it and the Kanto region, and the main setting of the Breath of the Wild miniarc.
Geography
Hyul is a predominantly tropical island due to being close to the equator, though the Vali Mountains are a truly alpine environment. It is separated into six regions, the aforementioned mountains, the Joyous Forest, Hyul Flatlands, Dominion Forest Peaks, Oron Mountain, and the Ger Desert. Its centerpiece is an unnamed lake at the center of the island that contains Jester's Castle.
The island is also surrounded by a thick fog and emits a EM field that protects it from both aerial and sea-based surveillance.
Inhabitants
The primary inhabitants of the island prior to Jester's arrival were the Hyulians, but save for Tassa they are presumably extinct as a whole due to Jester's attacks, leaving only mons native to various regions.
History
The Hyul Civilization came into being thousands of years before the events of the arc, and flourished before coming to ruin at the hands of Jester.
