Steggy
Steggy is Owen Edmundson's Shiny Grotle, and the seventh Pokemon he caught on his journey.
Appearance
In his Pokemon form, Steggy resembles a regular Shiny Grotle, albeit one that is sometimes seen with a Voltorb taped to his back in reference to the Mine Turtle from asdfmovie. The Voltorb is mainly used during battle, but will also go off at inopportune times like many other Voltorb.
In his human form (prospective name Eddie Thomas, seen below), Steggy appears as an approximately 10-year-old child with green hair and yellow eyes. He wears a yellow T-shirt with a teal jacket over top of it, along with yellow pants and bright green shoes. He wears a green baseball cap that is usually backwards, and he frequently appears with a bomb backpack strapped to his back that is red and white in color (representing the Voltorb he often carries in mon form). He is sometimes seen carrying a plastic knife that he uses to create reality warps.
Personality
Steggy is the kind of chaotic good mon to put far more emphasis on the "chaotic" than the "good". This isn't to say that Steggy isn't good, because he is- it's just that more often you'll see him relishing in watching asdfmovie, warping reality and breaking the fourth wall, and causing his enemies as much chaos as humanly possible that you'll see him talking to and hanging out with the Jura6. Steggy is, for the most part, optimistic and fun-loving, but insanely chaotic, always loving to cause as much mischief as possible for his enemies. He has a massive love of bizarre sketch comedy shows with random humor, most notably the asdfmovie series, which he watches on a regular basis and constantly references. His favorite sketch, naturally, is the Mine Turtle skit, to the point where he has made himself into a living mine turtle by strapping a Voltorb to his back and walking around with it.
Background
Unlike the other six members of Owen's team, not much is currently known about Steggy's backstory. It can be implied that he has had a connection with the Voltorb he carries on his back for a while, though. More information about his background, and the origins behind some of his crazier behaviors, has yet to be revealed.

Trivia
- Steggy's name is derived from Stegosaurus, which Grotle and Torterra are partially based on. It also is a reference to the "I am a stegosaurus" gag from the asdfmovie series, which in turn references Steggy's love of the asdfmovie franchise in general.
- According to Goldenheart388, Steggy's Hasslemon handle is fineTurtle (FT). The handle as a whole is a reference to the Mine Turtle from the asdfmovie series (which Steggy is partially based on), with the "fine" part being a reference to Steggy's generally optimistic personality.
- According to Goldenheart388, Steggy's English character theme is "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" by the Beatles. The song was picked due to its generally whimsical nature mirroring that of the asdfmovie series, as well as the fact that it is believed to be about LSD despite evidence to the contrary stating that it is actually about a drawing made by John Lennon's son. Similarly, the asdfmovie series is often believed to have been made on drugs or have had psychedelic influence. Steggy is also known for his reality-warping powers as seen during his battle against Roark's Rampardos, set to "DARKSIDE" by Shinedown, which could also be misconstrued as being psychedelic in nature. His Japanese character theme, meanwhile, is the asdfmovie12 opening theme song, with all of its lyrics being direct asdfmovie references when translated into English.
- Steggy's birthday, August 10th, is the date of the release of the first episode of asdfmovie (August 10th, 2008).
- Steggy is the first non-fossilmon on Owen's team since Stipax.
- Steggy's carrying of a Voltorb on his back is a reference to the Mine Turtle skit from asdfmovie (although the Mine Turtle had a landmine on his back, rather than a bomb, but the explosion aspect is still very much present).
- Steggy's human name, Eddie Thomas, references both Eddsworld and Thomas "TomSka" Ridgewell, the creator of ASDFMovie.
- Steggy is Owen's first Shiny Pokemon.
- Steggy's nature was originally Relaxed; it was changed to Impish as a result of his chaotic personality eventually coming through more often (particularly after his "DARKSIDE" performance against Roark's Rampardos). His Characteristic, however, remained.
