Despite his extremely extroverted personality, however, Bjorn is very much a terse talker- though nowhere near to the same extent that George is. Bjorn's speech pattern is based on that of Mordin Solus', and as such he almost never uses personal pronouns unless he is singing. Despite his terse talking, though, Bjorn is also a massive Motor Mouth-- also in a similar matter to Solus, though to a much greater extent. Unlike Solus, however, he is freely willing to admit that he has made a mistake, as he did when he found out that his Trainer was unable to speak Monese. While Bjorn doesn't really take many things seriously, there is one major exception, and that is The Vow and his loyalty to his Trainer. Bjorn takes the Vow so seriously, in fact, that if he ever accidentally hurts his Trainer, he will profusely apologize and sometimes even burst into tears due to him thinking that he broke the terms of the Vow. He is extremely loyal to Ingrid and will protect her from just about anything, though he isn't blindly loyal to her and is willing to call her out for any lapses in judgement that she may make. This is a result of the circumstances surrounding his capture: he was taken hostage by a group of evil Beheeyem when he was still an Elgyem, and was experimented on. Ingrid, however, soon confronted the Beheeyem and rescued Bjorn, ultimately freeing him for good when she won a battle against them with just Frida. Bjorn has remained loyal to her ever since.

Bjorn views battles as fun, in much the same way as Cuddles and Elton do, and enjoys using ball moves as well as Tri Attack in order to slow his opponents down or give them a status condition. He very often compliments his opponents in battle, and enjoys Teleporting around the battlefield so that his opponent's moves are more often to miss. However, his willingness to give away knowledge can serve as a bit of a downfall, as he will also give advice to his opponents whilst in the heat of battle... advice that they will, more often than not, use to their advantage (though Bjorn, of course, doesn't seem to mind). This tendency of his was most clearly shown in his battle against the Aipom that would eventually become Bindi-- not only did he compliment her massive diversity in terms of moves, but he also gave her advice about how to get a better boost in power off of Beat Up, a move that, due to Bindi's nature as a wild Pokemon, didn't do that much damage to Bjorn despite it being super-effective on him.

Prior to meeting Ingrid, Bjorn, as an Elgyem, was taken by a group of Beheeyem onto a spaceship in Sunyshore City. For the next few years, he was experimented on and used for testing, constantly being abused. Despite that, however, he remained optimistic, believing firmly that one day someone was going to rescue him, and was delighted when that day finally came. Not much is known about the details regarding the experiments and testing that the other Beheeyem put Bjorn under, nor is much known about what Bjorn's life was like before he was taken hostage by the evil Beheeyem. It can be assumed, however, that Bjorn traveled the world and learned a lot of new things before the abduction. The abduction ultimately led to Bjorn's intense loyalty towards his Trainer, and also led to him making said Beheeyem his biggest fear.

* Bjorn was named after Bjorn Ulvaeus, one of the four members of the Swedish pop band ABBA. His name is notably missing the umlaut, excluding the times when Bindi is referring to him over Hasslemon, as her typing quirk makes it so that the name contains the original umlaut.

* According to Goldenheart388, Bjorn's Hasslemon handle is visitingVoyager (VV). The name is a three-way ABBA pun, as it references the band's two most recent albums, The Visitors and Voyage, while the abbreviation is shared with that of a third ABBA album- Voulez-Vous. Additionally, it may also reference the concept of an alien visiting Earth, as Bjorn is a Beheeyem, which is an alien-like Pokemon, and was caught on a UFO. The "voyager" part could also reference Bjorn's love of travel.

Bjorn is Ingrid Anderson's Beheeyem, and the second Pokemon that she caught on her journey.

Appearance

Bjorn appears as a regular Beheeyem.

Personality

Bjorn is perhaps the most jovial and enthusiastic out of the entire A*Team with the possible exception of Ananpi. He is extremely cheerful and enjoys meeting new people and Pokemon, and- in much the same way as Elton- doesn't really get annoyed if a Pokemon has strange quirks. Not only does he have the aforementioned Ananpi on the team for company, but this was also shown when he met Channah's Barraskewda Owen for the first time. Not only was Bjorn not put off by Owen only talking about the Beach Boys and only speaking in music trivia, but he was genuinely interested in knowing more about them, and was delighted upon learning that they had done a cover of the ABBA song "On and On". Bjorn also enjoys traveling and seeing new regions, and likes greeting the locals who live there. He is very curious about a lot of things and very knowledgeable about even more, and is willing to share that knowledge with anybody who is interested in hearing it. While he could not translate Monese due to him not knowing Telepathy or Psychic, he was happy to teach Ingrid Morse Code in order to help her understand her Pokemon better, showing that he also has an interest in helping other people whenever they need it.

Background

Prior to meeting Ingrid, Bjorn, as an Elgyem, was taken by a group of Beheeyem onto a spaceship in Sunyshore City. For the next few years, he was experimented on and used for testing, constantly being abused. Despite that, however, he remained optimistic, believing firmly that one day someone was going to rescue him, and was delighted when that day finally came. Not much is known about the details regarding the experiments and testing that the other Beheeyem put Bjorn under, nor is much known about what Bjorn's life was like before he was taken hostage by the evil Beheeyem. Trivia

 • Bjorn was named after Bjorn Ulvaeus, one of the four members of the Swedish pop band ABBA. His name is notably missing the umlaut, excluding the times when Bindi is referring to him over Hasslemon, as her typing quirk makes it so that the name contains the original umlaut.
 • According to Goldenheart388, Bjorn's Hasslemon handle is visitingVoyager (VV).
 • According to Goldenheart388, Bjorn's character theme is "Waterloo" by ABBA. While the original version of the song was about someone who is unable to get out of a terrible relationship, Bjorn's interpretation of the song, according to Goldenheart388, is that it is "The Vow incarnate-- after Ingrid captured him and freed him from the group of Beheeyem that were using him he has been immensely loyal to her ever since, and is willing to prove that loyalty no matter what happens." His Japanese character theme, meanwhile, is "Star Marker" by KANA-BOON, the fifth opening to My Hero Academia and a reflection of Bjorn's happy-go-lucky and loyal nature, and his headcanon voice is that of Richard Horvitz as Alpha 5 from the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers series.
 • Bjorn's birthday, April 25th, is shared with his namesake Bjorn Ulveaus. This is also the case for all four members of the A*Team that were named after the members of ABBA (Frida, himself, Benny, and Agnetha).
