Eridanus (birth name Michael Layan) is a Hoennese Trainer.

Biography

Eridanus was born in Verdanturf Town, and travelled with his parents around Hoenn. Although his birth name is Michael, he prefers to go by his alias.

His parents died about month before he officially became a Pokémon Trainer; ironically their death was one of the factors that influenced his decision. He received his first Pokémon, Denshi which is currently a Raichu, as a gift from a friend he made.

After evolving Denshi, he would find himself nearby Mauville City, in a search of Steel-type. While being helped by Wattson, they encounter some Pokémon from New Mauville, which turn out to have escaped from the place. After helping fight them off (though Electrode was proved to be too much), he and Wattson go to New Mauville to find the source of the problems... which turns out to be a bunch of Magnemite, Magneton and a Magnezone. They escaped by digging out their own tunnel. The swarm was stopped with the help of many other Trainers, though Eridanus himself went back to Mauville. He was followed there by Forge, who has shown interest in him. Forge then joined party.

After the Mauville swarm, he would find himself on Route 111, where he would catch Fox.

Sometime after capturing Fox, he arrived in Kalos and acquired Vivi the Fennekin. He then proceeded to conquer few of the Kalos Gyms (including Anistar in tandem with Silent). Additionally, on behalf of his friend, and presumably Pokemon Professors, he has delivered a certain sample to Ramos.

Due to certain personmon's loudness, he has learned about Sarah's transgenderism at the Kalos League. Meanwhile, Joseph has informed him about Sarah's sister, Alli, when they were watching their Champion fight.

During Summerland, Alrey has went off somewhere on her own without any note. Eridanus wasn't exactly happy about that, though it hasn't affected their relations far enough to make any major change. Later, he helped Jason in his mindscape.

He left Almia on J-Team's ship, more or less becoming part of their J-Team. After arriving there, he has evolved Fox in an offscreen training session.

He has witnessed the Hia Valley time distortions, as he has seen Lane when he was fourteen, and Denshi has been brought back to being a Pichu.

After incident with Maria, he decided to tone down and not interact with other as much as before. He instead set his goal to win the Hoenn League and acquire title of Hoenn Champion.

However, that didn't last too long, as by the Johto visit, he has warmed up back to certain degree, just enough to be playful towards her.

Appearance

Around 185cm (6'2") tall with short black hair and gray eyes with shade of green. Doesn't care about his appearance too much, so his outfit is rather simple.
