Biography

A 17-year-old dark-specializing trainer from Castelia, Unova.

Onion's best friend from childhood was Every Memito, whom he met during a run-in with Krokorok. Many of them. They became friends after somehow escaping. They continued together for several years afterward, but then separated before meeting up once again.

In childhood he was given the nickname "Onion." This wasn't based on a mannerism or aspect of his appearance, it was simply to annoy him. However, he came to like the nickname and still uses it. He also tends to insist that people use "Onion" rather than "Malgent".

Personality

Onion is usually phlegmatic, although when comfortable reveals himself to be more outgoing and friendly. He sometimes acts and speaks harshly, for which he blames his Hydreigon, Xakk.

Appearance

Onion wears a black suit for all occasions, regardless of what it may be. He has brown eyes and blue hair. The reason for his hair being blue is unknown, although it is probably not naturally blue.

Relationships

Onion has been friends with Every since childhood. They had not met for several years before reuniting in Hoenn.

Onion has a younger sister named Benedicta, whom Onion insists on calling 'Shallot'.

Onion has some familiarization with several members of the main group, as well as a friendship with Amanita.

• Although Fido was his first acquired Pokemon, he started training him at the same time as Xakk.
• Onion wears an entirely black suit, despite Xakk's objections.
• Depite being a Dark-type specialist, he has at one point owned a non-Dark-type Pokemon, a Shedinja named Husk. He has since been released.
• Onion is a lock picking enthusiast.
• Onion has owned and lost more than four phones and two laptops during his time in the J-Team, courtesy of Pariah (with some help from Ratchet).
• Onion has lived most of his life in Castelia and is most fond of it, but has lived in many other cities for various lengths of time due to his parents' paranoia.
• His hair is not naturally blue, but the cause for this is unknown.
