Jessica Sapphire is a secondary Player Character of SwiftSeraph.

Appearance

Jessica is 5'4", with light brown, pink-undertoned skin and a plump, slightly pear-shaped build. Her ears are normally a sparkling pink, but occasionally flicker to a plain brown or a bright gold. Her hair is naturally a vibrant red, with a shock of bubblegum-punk highlights on her right side. She has a set of Vulpix ears on her head, and three matching tails sprout from near her tailbone. Both human ears, her right Vulpix ear, and her left eyebrow are pierced, and she usually wear gold hoops in each of them.

Her casual outfit consists of a pastel yellow tanktop, over which she wears a pink, partially off-shoulder crop-top with a red heart emblem on the center, red fingerless gloves (held on with gold rings), a blue denim miniskirt with a red belt, pink leggings covered in red hearts, and a set of knee-high, pink-laced red-and-white boots. She also wears a cream-and-red purse and a red leather necklace, from which hangs a bright blue sapphire.

Personality

Jessica's a carefree, enthusiastic, fun-loving girl. She's plucky and energetic, eager to make new friends and always ready for a good fight. She has plenty of hidden depth, but often only expresses them in dire situations. Ultimately, she wants to enjoy life's pleasures and build a better world, wherever that path takes her.

History

Pre-Debut

Jessica's egg hatched at the Sinnoh Day-Care, but she was abandoned by her trainer (a poacher) due to a birth defect causing her tail to only split into three instead of five. This left her very nervous and afraid of people, but that changed when Siobhán met her and invited her to join their team. She accepted eagerly, quickly building friendships with Siobhán and the team, learning about the world, and proving herself in battle and training. After their loss to Cynthia, Jessica traveled with Siobhán and her teammates to Alola.

Alola Arc

Jessica, eager to see more of the world, quickly fell in love with Alola and all of her new friends, both J-Team and not. In addition to challenging the Alola League as a member of Siobhán's team, she also discovered the existence of Armbands, and fell even more in love with her human form. She would later get a transformation artifact of her own, a spiked choker that transformed her into a "borked" state, human with her Vulpix ears and tails.

Entralink Arc

Jessica became a Trainer, and travled with Siobhán and other J-Teamers as they dealt with the Skybreak and Team Mobius. Notably, she joined the Aurabolts as the hero Vulpecula (and later, the antihero Volt), and met her alternate timeline Futurekids Isbrand and Miika.

Galar Arc

After the stress of the last two years, Jessica contented herself with superhero work and casually travelling across Galar, watching her friends compete in the League.

After assisting in the fight against Orpheus, Jessica developed a limp due to damage to her leg. She would spend some time recovering, as well as supporting her partner as they dealt with the aftermath. While visiting Spear Pillar on Siobhán's traditional pilgrimage, they disappeared into an Ultra Wormhole and were assumed missing since.

Paldea Arc

Jessica appeared from a wormhole in the Stormchaser's Union Room, alongside Siobhán and Elizabeth. She quickly bounced back into the swing of life in the OU, deciding to take Training more seriously, as well as supporting Siobhán and Elizabeth as they all adjusted.

In the AU

Jessica exists as the Sylveon Creme Puff, and is a close friend and teammate to her Shaun.

In PMD-B

Following the defeat of the Seven Jerk Dragons, Creme Puff travelled with her old friends and teammates, bringing justice across Unova. She entered a romantic relationship with S, her trainer-turned-Staraptor, and the sight of a Sylveon astride the Shadow became well-known. She would later die alongside S as they fought their last battle.

In the Otherverse

In this universe, Jessica is Siobhán's Battle Bond Ninetales, and their ace as a Frontier Brain.

In the Beastverse/Sapphfuture

Shaun and Jessica married at some point during their adventures, and the two of them eventually settled down on a ranch. They sired two twin children - Kaiiseii and Isbrand - and ensured they lived happy, fulfilling lives, doting on them and providing them with whatever they wanted and needed. In the original Beastverse timeline, Jessica was killed by the Beast alongside the majority of the population. She would die fighting side-by-side with Shaun on their ranch, buying their children time to escape. In the revised timeline of the Sapphfuture, Jessica lives a happy life on the ranch, retired alongside her wife Siobhán.

In the Danverse

Shaun's slightly more ruthless attitude gave him the edge to defeat Cynthia on his first attempt. As a result, he never left for Alola, and remained isolated from other peoplemons. Inspired by J-Dan's "direct" approach to solving problems, he then decided to hunt down Kirai, the poacher responsible for Lightning's disfigurement and Jessica's abandonment. After a savage battle, Kirai and his Pokemon were dead - but Jessica was fatally injured and had to be killed by Shaun. This would lead to several psychological issues for him, and he would later craft Jessica's pelt into a fur collar, so they would never part again.

• Jessica is a Fae. Though originally only Faetouched, she strengthened her power via a deal with another version of herself.
  • Jessica's default form is her hybrid form. She has a unique Weremon strain, which allows her to use a Fire Stone to switch between hybrid and Vulpix forms.
    • As a consequence of her deal, Jessica is incapable of evolving into a Ninetales.
  • Can hear non-digetic music, and see an in-universe battle UI.
  • Capable of creating contracts, but requires a blood pact and drains her personal powers.
