Lehua is fierce and at times borders on outright disobedient, leading Chiyo and his teammates to often treat him like a particularly naughty child.

- Lehua is short for Lehua-kona, the Hawaiian name for the star Antares, which is a binary star system assumed to be a singular one, in the same way Capsakid gains two heads upon evolving to Scovillain.
- Lehua was Chiyo's first onscreen traditional capture, with all the other onscreen captures beforehand being cases of mons choosing to join Chiyo without a customary battle.
