Murphy is a PEFEgon who works for the PEFE financial back offices. He works under Priscilla Kwan, PEFE's head of accounting and portfolio management. After hours, he frequently moonlights as one of the 12 partner pokémon of the Taipan, Priscilla's superhero alter ego.

Appearance and Configuration

Much like other PEFEgon, Murphy's default coloration is yellow and bright green, which he uses in most of his public and at-work appearances alongside Priscilla. When in need of a disguise, he dons the standard coloration of regular or shiny porygon. Rather than a pokéball, he frequently occupies several gadgets (often Priscilla's work phone) and travels through the Internet.

Personality

Murphy frequently presents himself as a friendly and snarky confidante, especially toward Priscilla. He is quick to use his repertoire to assist Priscilla and her compatriots at work and in the field. He constantly communicates in human languages and has picked up expressions in [Cantonese]. His tendency to be argumentative and his penchant for cringe-inducing humor, however, does occasionally lead to his OPSEC subroutines being compromised.

Abilities

Much like other PEFEgon, he is a skilled hacker and is capable of retrieving and de-encrypting files from protected PCs. As a PEFEgon, however, he is limited in his ability to get through some of the newer and more tenacious firewalls employed by Pokefutures in its machines. Through a speech program, he is capable of communicating in human languages, knowing [Japanese], Galarian, Kalosian, [Cantonese], and [Standard German].

In other universes

At least one version of Murphy, currently a PEFEgon Z, became the partner of PEFE intern David Albright, who took over the identity of Arachna-Guy.
