Biography

Mary's origins are unclear but what is clear is that at some point she became entirely absorbed by her fairies, abandoning any past she ever had as she reinvented herself anew. Nobody understands where her parents might be, if she has any living parents or where she might live. Not even mind readers can crack the case of this one's origins, as she has long since deluded herself into forgetting them and replacing them with her whimsically crafted dreams.

To say that Mary is a few bricks shy of a full load might be considered an understatement. Mary lives in a whimsical world of make believe where all things must be screened before entering. There is no fear, no doubt and no regret; there is only joy, laughter and wrath. Reality is just an opinion, one she happens to disagree with.

Not even the most imminent of threats can make Mary flinch, not because she is brave but because her pupil-free eyes do not register danger in the first place. Life is but a game and she has it all figured out. That being said, Mary's lunacy often gets in the way of her abilities as a trainer. Rarely putting thoughts into things like strategy or hard work, Mary should be grateful she does not understand shame. Because of her whimsical training methods she is more likely to catch many pokemon and train each of them very little.

None of Mary's pokemon seem to take issue with her apparent lunacy, in fact seeming to see and hear the same things she does. Supposedly Mary can understand her pokemon, however those who also understand pokemon would find that Mary's pokemon usually don't speak to her, leaving her statements dubious. Mary herself tends to enjoy living out her dreams in the real world, assigning herself and others 'roles' to fill comparable to classical stories and is normally fairly harmless. Breaking her immersion is one of the only ways to make her angry, at which point she will become uncharacteristically aggressive.
