Kec

Kec is Hoops's Kecleon and first pokémon. He was a gift to a young Hoops when they were both young, and they grew up together with Kec taking on an increasingly protective role as Hoops' mother died and their father became increasingly abusive.

Kec took it the hardest when Hoops abandoned their original team, and didn't forgive them at first, only returning during Hoops' gym battle with Raihan. He later continued to protect Hoops' body after their apparent death, and was instrumental in calming them when they woke up.

At some point, Kec began running a popular blog which gave reviews of popular movies and tv shows, particularly those about Kecleonman, his favourite superhero. His review of the new Kecleonman movie drew the ire of director Zack Nolan, who tried to publicly humiliate and discredit Kec, though his teammates were able to help him out. Later, Kec travelled to Pokéstar studios in order to help organise an actors' union for pokémon working in movies, which required him to leave Hoops' team.

Later, the two reunited in Artazon surely before it was attacked by Whitt. By working together, they were able to defeat Whitt, though they said goodbye again soon after as Kec still had work to do on a movie.

Battle Style

Kec's battle style relies on using his Protean ability, which allows him to rapidly switch between different types to change the effectiveness of his and his opponent's attacks. He has been shown to be able to use Z-moves, and has terastalized.
