Appearance

Logan is a 5'2" black enby with long, coily hair generally drawn back into a ponytail and amber eyes. They have Lichtenberg scarring all ip their arms from being struck by lightning or Electric-type attacks, and possibly a small scattering of freckles.

They generally wear a Ranger uniform when on active duty, and otherwise wear comfortable meme shirts with some other clothing or stylish, intensely sparkly gold formalwear. There is no middle ground.

Due to an ambiguous series of events in another dimension, Logan possesses a functional Magical Girl outfit from their stint as a space idol. Their attire while actively wearing it varies, frequently manifesting as the red, black, and yellow commonly associated with a Ranger (although this can be altered fairly easily), on a short jacket with poofy battle shoulders and long sleeves, a headset with stylized antennae and earpieces vaguely shaped like Pokéballs, some sort of frills around the waist, short shorts and thigh-high leggings, and bright red boots (pictured above). Also a Rotom-possessible electric guitar, of similar make and alien material to the Go-Rock Quad Power Stylers--the outfit and guitar both spring spontaneously from their original hand Styler, which has undergone numerous mysterious modifications in their time abroad.

They glitter constantly as the result of various Fairy boons earned in said dimension, and now wield a second Styler--this one a Fine Styler--on their right arm (pictured above) with their promotion to Top Ranger for the sake of shadowing the J-Team.

Personality (pre-Solune)

Logan radiates a generally nonthreatening, friendly air as a result of extensive Ranger experience. They're quick with a response and on the uptake, clever and sharp, and frequently punny.

They're habitually helpful as a matter of practice, going in their way to make others' problems their own and resolve them, in their own rather competent fashion. They radiate authority at will, alternating easily between cajoling and encouraging and leaderly and any number of other useful emotive states for the sake of making a point.

Their specialty is balancing numerous conflicting personalities against one another, tying them off into small mini-societies of sufficient health and supportiveness--essentially finding places for troublemakers to be less troublesome, and if one cannot be found then to craft it themself.

They harbor no small resentment toward the J-Team for the collateral damage associated with them, as well as the havoc that follows i their wake--although they begrudgingly acknowledge the effectiveness with which they swept multiple evil Teams out of their regions. Likes coffee.

Personality (post-Solune)

Logan carries with them a deep sadness from events, ambiguous and unambiguous but unstated, from their time in another dimension. At a fundamental level they are terribly lonely, and go to great lengths both to conceal this from everyone except Addie (who feels the same), and...well, that's it.

They dislike enclosed, underground spaces, zombie movies, and lengthy contracts offered by ostensibly friendly sources. They're not too fond of royalty, nor powerful entities--singular or collective--that seek personal gain at the expense of others. Following a talk with Ever and their own mistakes elsewhere, rather more fond of the J-Team, although following the final Mobius raid, more deeply suspect of a mob mentality and power involved. Really likes coffee.

Backstory

They lived in [Texas] until they were nine, at which point they found out about Pokémon Rangers and wanted to become one. Their parents summarily moved all the way to Almia to support their endeavors, and then they did.

They summarily joined the Ranger Academy, taking advantage of a school system actually tuned to help children as well as the guidance of an as-yet unnamed but tremendously mentor-y Ranger, to become tremendously competent and confident, which would later reflect itself in their accomplishments. There they met Ditya, who following an awkward standoff and brief period of open, passive-aggressive dislike, would become lifelong friends and associates. There they met Addie, who would feed on and neutralize the inconvenient aura of static electricity that seemed to follow them around, around the same time. She would become their Partner Pokémon.

The J-Team swept through the Ranger Regions the first time, then, and as a student they saw the havoc and heroics in their wake.

Upon graduation, they were assigned (with Ditya, now a fully-fledged Operator, as their Mission Control) to the area of Renbow Island as their protectorate. Several crises later, having proven their quick reflexes and begrudging affinity for Electric-type Pokémon in the field and their increased Ranger Rank following various lessons learned and peoplemon helped, the lightningstruck, barren island of Layuda would be added to their purview. Then, they were introduced to Eric the Latias, winning his approval in a ceremony gone slightly awry, summary defense of him from poachers, and the experience of their very first flight together--the first of many, all marvelous. They learned to dodge lightning.

It's around this point that the J-Team swept through the Ranger Regions for the second time, carrying with them widespread disaster and mayhem--although to be fair, much of that can be attributed to the evil Teams they hunted. Here their opinion of the Team was made primarily negative, and solidified. They found a determination to find a better path.

At some point they met Dr. Ironspine the mad scientist Togedamaru, and became instant nemeses. Since then, the two have maintained a passionate, hate-filled on-again-off-again relationship wherein they try to outdo and thwart the other. Given that Logan's preferred battleground is improving people's lives, and her field of study is general and specific mayhem, the results are...mixed. They've spread their hatred of Cipher to her, however, and she's on the hunt for any facilities she can destroy. In the midst of events below, she gave them a rescued Shadow Eelektross to purify--who before achieving such would accompany them on their unforeseen jaunt into extraplanar space.

At some point, the prophetic collective Hecate made themselves known to Logan, offering aid in locating and resolving difficult cases of distress. Being one to judge people by their actions and having learned to give the benefit of the doubt, especially where such general well-being is concerned, they took the offer, and over the months Hecate earned their trust. Then a Mission sourced from them brought them into brush contact with the J-Team, then incidental contact, then real contact, at which Ever Memito informed them that they were now part of the J-Team.

A scant period of time later, they were whisked off to the distant universe of Solune, to experience the trials therein, for a full year.

Trivia

    • Logan glitters constantly as the result of numerous Fairy boons earned
    • Among those boons are the ability to play guitar and the ability to spin sunlight(/moonlight/starlight/Aura/Obscura/Infinity Energy/love/etc.) into thread
    • Their Aura heavily resembles light to virtually all relevant senses
    • On a fast enough mount, their reflexes are sufficient to dodge lightning, relevant due to Mount Layuda lying in their Area Ranger territory
    • The collection of Electric-types associated with them was once a coincidence, or considered to be so
    • In general, has or had a stark mental delineation between "the part of the world they take care of" and "associates", which didn't exactly help the dating scene, or expressions of vulnerability not in the workplace
    • Logan can play the guitar
    • Logan likes puns, and coffee
    • Logan has ADHD
