As such, he defeated Team Rocket in Mahogany and Goldenrod (though the Red Gyarados was caught by [[Wolf|another Trainer]]) and eventually awakened Ho-Oh.

With the help of Lake and some intense training, he soon evolved into a Croconaw, and then a Feraligatr, which he spent a short time as before returning to the OU and resuming his human form.
