Tritium, known as Trina or T by her companions, is the first member of the Freshman Class produced by The School. Her class designation was Hydrogen. As her companions all share the same designation, she agreed to take the code name after the radioactive isotope of her eponymous element.

History

The Freshman class' Hydrogen grew up as a loner. Her main companion was a templar who had previously taught and raised other younger schoolchildren. Demetria, as she called her, was for a time her only friend. She didn't understand why that was the case for a long time. A few of the other freshmen who were brought to interact with her found her off-putting, something she internalized. She was never allowed to get near them. Eventually, this changed, and the scientists she was under made her a companion of Oganesson, the last freshman produced. However, she would be separated from Oganesson as her longtime companion and a technician escaped during a breakdown.

She would later learn that her companion was not a Templar but another, older schoolchild, as was the technician named Pratchett. They lived as fugitives, taking refuge in the Orren desert as metal scavengers. Recently, they moved to an abandoned oasis, where they've settled in.

Abilities

Tritium is fairly strong for a young woman her age, though not exactly in the same standout sense as her guardian. Her psychic powers are fairly standard, or so her creators thought. It turns out that she was also good at cancelling out someone else's physical abilities when pushed to do so. While she couldn't control these powers when she was at the school, she is slowly learning about them.

Appearance

Tritium is a small mixed-race teenage girl with purple eyes. She is often seen wearing a tattered denim jacket, T-shirt, and sneakers. Sometimes her shirts have a pikachu design on them, but mostly, her shirts are emblazoned with a circular emblem representing the Hydrogen atom, altered to resemble the isotope she calls herself after.

Personality

Since she could read minds, Tritium can react appropriately to people. She's very warm and trusting to people she sees as not aggressive. Her friendless background made her starved for attention and companionship from someone other than her two caretakers. She does love her two companions and sees them as older siblings.

Trivia

  • Tritium is loosely based on X-23, Wolverine's clone daughter from the X-Men franchise. Her appearance is a cross between X-23's appearance in X-Men Evolution and the film Logan.
  • Her nullification powers mirror those of Mikan Sakura from Alice Academy.
