Geneportation is a transportation technique that can be used by Gene the Sandslash. Thanks to his ninja-esque exploration skills and his ability to "get lost" into offscreen and appear somewhere else even without a clear path, Gene can do the equivalent of teleporting over large distances or appearing from / disappearing into nowhere. How did Gene acquire the ability to traverse offscreen land is currently unknown.
Geneportation allows Gene to also move items and entire teams from one place to another near-instantly and without the items or characters experiencing change, thanks to the Tethercat Principle.
