Laurent Cain was the owner of Cain Enterprises prior to his death. He abused his daughter Lucille Cain because of her Obscura powers and blamed her for his wife's death in childbirth. She ended up killing him and his son Leonard Cain as payback. He had some sort of business deal going on with Lawrence Cain.
