"OOOHHHHH, OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY, this is not my day, first the kidnapping attempt and now THIS... stupid, stupid, costume-wearing freakos, not even committing crimes in a sensible way!"
Jetta Melony Sullivan is an amateur Pokémon trainer and Pokémon Behaviouralist from Unova. She currently works as a Senior Assistant (effectively a secretary) for the Battle Company's Angela Branch, reporting directly to Executive Vice President Polyxene Krete. Jetta is an awkward girl who stumbles over her words, repeats herself constantly, and seems to be every mid-90s nerd cliché rolled into one, but she has an academic fascination with evil, crime and underhanded tactics, despite not being evil or criminal herself (underhanded is a bit more debatable). She's notable for her unorthodox training methods, largely giving her Pokémon free reign on the field of battle to keep her opponents guessing; though this had backfired on her a few times. Fittingly, she specializes in Dark-Type Pokémon, taking particular interest in urban-dwelling specimens, showing the craftiness to exist alongside humans without being tamed.

Backstory
Jetta had a pretty unremarkable upbringing in Castelia City, with enough awkward geeks around to give her good company for most of her childhood, alongside her older brother Reuben (who would later go on to challenge the Unova League) and her younger brother Emmett (who would later go on to work as tech support at the Hoenn Weather Institute). She attended the University of Unova and took a three-year course on Pokémon Behaviouralism, eventually writing a dissertation on the habits of urbanized Scrafty populations in Castelia city, as inspired by the work of Dr. Colress. Her research for this project involved catching a Scrafty - which she called Birdie - and separating him from his group, which kick-started Jetta's training record as she took to the Battle Subways to give Birdie a way to relieve his boredom. She later saved Birdie's life when he was savagely beaten by his old group, and Birdie has stayed with her ever since.
She started work for the Battle Company as an intern to pay for her course, but later received a promotion to Senior Assistant at the personal request of Polyxene Krete herself, who took an interest in her profile.

Trivia
- Her glasses are reflective, designed to counteract the headaches created by M-7's hypnotic lightshows. A necessary precaution, as M-7 was formerly known to hypnotize his own trainers when he was still a Battle Company rental Pokémon.
- She can't control Juggernaut especially well - she leaves that to Birdie, effectively making him a trainer in his own right.
- Despite her geek qualities, she's confused by Kantonian pop culture.
- She's the only member of Krete's Senior Assistant Team to have more than one Pokémon.
- She speaks with a nasally Brooklyn accent, sounding like a cross between Harley Quinn and Velma from Scooby-Doo.
- Her first name is a pun based on Jet, a black gemstone derived from decayed wood.
- She coincidentally shares many traits with Mezzo, as they are both bespectacled Dark-Type specialists from Castelia City who are usually nice but have a violent streak; they were even born in the same year (Jetta is the older of the two, but only by seven months; out-of-universe, this is reversed, as Mezzo has been in the game for far longer).
