Junior (Trainer)

Thomas Andrew Petersen, Junior is a popular outspoken investigative journalist from the Lillifuture. A correspondent with the [Geographic Society], he is also the older son of its Editor-in-chief, Andrew, who he shares a name. Most people call him by his surname or by his first name, Tommy, though his family has known him mainly as Junior.

Personality

Junior is a person of strong moral conviction and is usually very keen on speaking out against what he thinks is unfair. He comes off as an almost fanatical firebrand, though he appears to stop short of inciting rebellion. How he has managed to not court reprisal from the authorities is unknown. Beneath the surface, he is quite cunning and pragmatic, capable of switching and affecting roles with ease. He is quite charming and charismatic to talk to.

Personal History

Junior has been rather science and media savvy since he was a boy. In his teens, he was the captain of his soccer team and head of the science club. He majored in journalism and is currently taking up his graduate studies in theoretical physics. The standard academic athlete, he still plays soccer and does parkour in his free time. He offers services as a video editor as a side-job.

At present, he lives with his parents and acts as his father's primary caregiver and personal assistant.

Appearance

Junior is a tall, athletic young man in his early 20s. He shares his father's sense of style, preferring baggy clothing such as flannel shirts and jeans that make him look like an everyman or bystander. A lot of people find him handsome, which might add to his appeal as a popular journalist.

Relationships

He is frighteningly always in the proximity of the Interpol Authority, most especially his main rival, Deputy Director Charmelle Panelo, head of their propaganda division. Despite their rivalries, they share a lot of interpersonal chemistry and are, to no one's surprise, actively dating. He is also friends with [Dave Riley | Dave], who he has known since childhood. Among his father's coworkers, he is especially close to Dave's father Gavin. "Uncle Gav" has acted as his mentor since he went to journalism school.

His very existence is said to have cause a lot of tension between his father and Director Hontou, though he like everybody else neither knows for sure or cares enough. He's quick to his father's aid when being intimidated by the Interpol.
