Dave (Kim)

Dave is Kimberly Bond's Wooloo, and the tenth Pokemon she caught on her journey, as well as her fifth to be acquired in the Galar region.

Personality

On the surface, Dave seems to be the antithesis of all stereotypes surrounding Wooloo, being headstrong, a bit arrogant, and slightly profane, constantly throwing around the word "bloody" and tons of other Irish/Scottish slang insults. He is the self-proclaimed "strongest Wooloo on Route 2," being Lvl 12, and is quite proud of it. However, in reality, while Dave's tough exterior is absolutely genuine, he has a strong dislike for battling other Pokemon- the way he got to Lvl. 12 was by tackling down trees. He's just as much of a pacifist as all the other members of his species, but he is absolutely not afraid to stand up for what he believes in. He has a very strong sense of justice and believes that battling other Pokemon would cause them nothing except pain and suffering-- instead, his preferred method of battling is through a battle of wits, rather than straight-up using physical moves on Pokemon. He's tried- and is deliberately pulling punches. Despite his pacifistic nature, however, Dave won't hesitate to call out others for what he perceives as wrong behavior- and very loudly, for that matter. He has a very thick Scottish/Irish accent, befitting his namesake (see "Trivia").

• Dave was named after Dave King, the lead singer of Irish-American Celtic punk band Flogging Molly, due to sheep frequently populating Ireland, where King was born. He was also named after him due to his strong-willed, slightly vulgar personality.

• According to Goldenheart388, Dave's character theme is "Reptiles (We Woke Up)" by Flogging Molly, his Broadway character theme is "This is the Moment" from Jekyll & Hyde, and his headcanon voice is another "Dave"- specifically, David Tennant, best known for playing the Tenth Doctor in the Doctor Who franchise.
