PC is a Beheeyem who, in the Lillifuture, belongs to David Riley Albright. In the current timeline, he is still an Elgyem belonging to Penelope Grant and goes by the name Peasy.

Personality and Traits

PC is a powerful psychic capable of detecting the presence of humans and pokémon within a large radius.

Most of the time, PC is laid back and mischievous, prone to making sarcastic quips and telepathic banter to his trainer. When pushed, he becomes immensely irritable and confrontational. Although trollish by nature, he is fiercely protective of his trainer and his team and will often attempt to curtail the latter's temperamental impulses.

He is extremely skilled in performing human tasks, many of which he learned from observing Dave. Although very knowledgeable about human culture, he has immense gaps in his knowledge that remind him of his nature as "alien" to Earth, despite having been born there.

PC communicates almost exclusively through telepathic transmissions, helping him overcome interspecies language barriers. He occasionally dons a speech device, which allows him to speak (and sing in) human languages, and can also wear a hard light projector to imitate the appearance of a human and perform a variety of physical tasks usually reserved for humans.

PC is not prejudiced against cyborgs the way mid-21st Century humans are and finds it baffling that Dave would find augmentation and replacement to be dehumanizing.

History

A descendant of the first permanent Beheeyem colonies established on Earth in the 1960s, PC's life story could be described in terms of a child of immigrants, straddling the culture of "the Earthenoids" and that of his people. He lived in general isolation close to his community for much of his young life, which made him perceive Earth-native biota as a perplexing and fascinating other. He got separated from his colony and was rescued from near-death by an archeologist named Fenton Grant, who had been excavating some ancient [Puebloan] ruins some distance away from Phenac City. He was later adopted into Fenton's family and became part of the pokémon roster of Fenton's daughter Penelope.

In the Lillifuture, he would become separated from Penelope again and find himself in Orre once more, only this time staying closer to the water- and food-rich Phenac City metro area. For a time, he became a squatter who lived in secret in Dave's dormitory apartment until he was spotted one day while Dave had just finished taking a shower. He was nonchalant over the whole matter and even addressed the embarrassed Dave as his roommate. Calling his bluff, the occupant ordered his pokémon to attack the intrusive beheeyem, who was promptly captured. PC took an immense liking to his new role as a trained pokémon and has become rather fond of his trainer, which he treats as a good friend.

Trivia

  • PC derives his name from referential wordplay surrounding Mac and PC computers and the film Mac and Me, which was about a boy with disabilities who befriends a mischievous alien.
    • His general relationship with the cyborg Dave parodies the premise of the movie.
    • He loves singing Bobby Caldwell songs, especially Take Me, I'll Follow, the IRL theme of Mac and Me.
  • As of December 2018, he is capable of driving human vehicles (in this case, time machines cloaked as 1980s automobiles).
  • The Beheeyem language he speaks is based on Altean from Voltron: Legendary Defender.
  • PC enjoys the popular culture and music of the 1980s.
  • PC's fondness for Dave may stem from him being related to Penelope somehow.
