Lex Cain is the child of Cleo de Nile and Leonard Cain who came from an alternate future timeline. Constantin recruited him for Neo-Flare after seeing some of what his inventions can do. After finding out his father died in the current timeline, he ended up going with Neo-Flare more in earnest.
