Pippy
Pippy is Megan's Empoleon, her starter who she obtained around ten years before she joined the J-Team.
Personality
Pippy is a kind soul. He shares his trainer's aversion to making people feel bad and cares deeply for the well-being of those he cares about. He is curious, often asking about others and looking through sites on places and events. [Wikipedia] is his friend.
Like Megan, he often follows others' leads, getting invested in their goals and hoping to aid them in their endeavors, especially if they are under his care (the newcomers to Megan's team in particular being under his and Vee's care as well). He cares most for emotional well-being among the three of them.

Battle Strategy
He typically follows Megan's lead on strategy, but he has developed a number of battle styles with her over the years. One notable style employs his Empoleon bulk and sharp at close range to shove and spear opponents, perhaps backed by Agility and Aqua Jet, but his favored style is at longer range, employing hydrokinesis and related abilities, ideally in tandem with his teammates (Vee in particular), to disrupt and damage opponents.
He uses Aqua Ring and Whirlpool as his primary water-manipulation moves, the former for gentler or more defensive direction of water and the latter for offense. This often takes forms aside from the typical circular spinning motion, bending existing flow and, in the case of Whirlpool, producing streams of "clingy" water that wrap around opponents and thrash them about.
