Catherine is written by [Hobgoblin] and made her first appearance on [page 13,434]. Vain and somewhat hedonistic, Catherine is introduced as a con-artist who stole a Key Stone from researchers in Ambrette Town. After her Houndoom is snagged by 'goffs', she works with Rex and Kim to reclaim her stolen Pokémon, though Rex is able to trick her into a stalemate by taking her Houndoominite and rendering her Mega Glove unusable at present. Following the confrontation, Catherine moved to Hoenn, whereupon she joined up with Team Magma.

• Catherine was originally named Rebecca before being renamed.
• In WAAPT, Catherine's Charizard is named Agni while it is canonically named Ignis. Both are the names of the writer's Mega-X and Mega-Y Sun Team Charizards respectively.
• While Catherine was meant to be one of six major characters written for by her writer, only two of the six wound up being recurring characters. The other two, Nicole and Alphonse, have yet to appear at all in WAAPT.
