Orlando Rosa
Orlando Rosa was a scientist who was part of The School prior to departing for unknown reasons, and Constantin's prime (tor)mentor.
History
Early Life
According to Volpe, Rosa grew up as part of a well-off family that treated him well, and graduated with honors from school.
The Wicked Scientist
At some point Rosa ended up falling in with The School, but left in the late 1990s for unknown reasons and eventually ended up experimenting on homeless Auric children of color in Kalos, who were also farmed out as hitmen in order to fund the very same experiments, chief amongst them being Constantin Perilloux and Volpe DeCosti. He had a particular interest in how Auric abilities were influenced by Attributes, and took great interest in Constantin because he happened to be a Mind of Crystal combined with his whiter appearance, doing experiments on his brain in an attempt to see just how far he could go. Rosa also ended up imparting his white supremacist worldview upon the young Constantin. He was also responsible for implanting the Key Stones along Volpe's spine that led to his degeneration and power incontinence involving his Obscuric ice due to their Infinity Energy, while simultaneously preventing him from dying despite the ravaged state of his body.
Eventually, Constantin snapped from the constant torture and killed not only Rosa but the rest of the Auric children save for Volpe around 2005, who he left alive out of what Volpe assumed was a twisted sense of sentimentality, and went on to eventually become the Boss of Neo-Flare.
Personality
According to Volpe, despite having so many advantages in life, Orlando Rosa's main interest was using child Aurics of color as guinea pigs for his experiments, and was deeply racist, a view he would impart upon Constantin.
Trivia
- According to Volpe, Constantin's refusal to harm children, including nonwhite ones despite his fascist views, is the result of Rosa's tortures on him as a child.
- Despite his massive influence on Constantin's worldview, Rosa has never been seen onscreen, even in a flashback, with everything known about him being told to Tagg by Volpe during the Galar Arc.
