Super Nerd (true name, Teddie Lace) is a 20 year old trainer from Nimbasa City, Unova. For most of his life, he has been a computer shut in, with almost no connection with the outside world, until he finally left home in order to find a way to help his hacked Porygon, Byte.
As of now he is studying to become a Pokemon Professor, focusing on the study of Urban Devlopment and its effect on Pokemon Life, as well as digital theory and philosophy.
Biography
Super Nerd was the child of two office workers in Nimbasa City, both of which commuted, so he was left home alone a great deal. With so much time on his hands, he found an interest in computers, and their inner workings.
At the age of 14, he created his most prized possession, his hoodie, which was laced with a special thread like wire, and projects a screen on the top half of the hood, showing him not only the computer, but the real world through a special camera. After creating this, he almost completely shut out all other life, and became a shut in, surrounding himself with online friends rather than physical ones.
Eventually, he would find in an email from an unknown sender, a strangely colored porygon that he named 'Byte.' The pokemon was an obvious hack, and out of curiosity, and a streak of bravery, he ventured out into the world in search of answers to help Byte.
During the beginning of the Rangers-2 Arc, Super Nerd was asked to join the J-Team by Jason, after both had strange phenomenon happen to them.
Personality
Due to his lack of social interactions and meetings, Super Nerd has grown to be nervous, stuttering, and bad with other people, showing off his signature st-st-st-stutter.
He's quite kind to pokemon, and finds them easier to deal with, though he hasn't had much connection with them either. He especially has an interest with man-made pokemon, or those he believe have a connection to man made things.
His intelligence with anything to do with computers or electronics is not to be shrugged off, though his nervousness sometimes gets in the way, not to mention his self doubt issues, that lead him to say his catchphrase "Someday...I'm destined for the trash!"
Super Nerd has an alternate personality that seems hell bent on ruining his life. He is harsh, demanding, violent, taunting, and all around a pretty big jerk. His reason for existence is unknown so far. This altenate personality turned out to be 'mirai' a figment of Super Nerd's subconsious, representing his fears of being a failure as an adult. After an intervention in Nerdscape, mirai was transformed from an evil punk, to a friendly intelligent adult.

- He is somewhat friends with Eridanus after they planned to go to Hoenn together, but both got on the wrong flight.
