Biography
At age 13, Ellen found a shiny Beldum while walking along Winner's Path. She caught it as her starter, giving it the name "Pallad", and decided she would become a Steel-type Trainer. At first, she traveled around Johto, but eventually – after catching a Magnemite named Tesla and a Scizor named Joel – she boarded a boat to Canalave City in Sinnoh, with the goal to find a Lucario. On this trip, she met a Fighting-type specialist named Dylan, who then became her rival.
At age 15, she challenged the Sinnoh Elite Four. She defeated them, as well as the champion, Weston. Weston stepped down from the position and gave it to Ellen. Immediately afterwards, she was greeted by Dylan, who battled her and won. As Ellen registered Dylan in the Hall of Fame, Dylan ended up revealing having feelings for her.
Around twenty years later, she and her son, Eskay, were somewhere near the Johto Safari Zone, when a Toxicroak – presumed to have escaped from the Safari Zone not unlike those in the Pastoria Great Marsh – attacked her. Eskay called for help, but was too late; this left him with a powerful fear of the species. After she died, her Pokémon were released to their old homes, with Pallad returning to Winner's Path to be found by Eskay around 5 years later.
Soon after Pallad reunited with Eskay, Ellen was reincarnated as a Delta Golett and ended up on Insula Nui, losing her memory in the process. Over the next year, she became known as Femata, and helped to protect the island. She finally regained her memory as she watched Eskay almost die exactly as she had: by a Toxicroak attack. Luckily, she managed to heal him in time, with help from Keetongu.
Appearance
Ellen wears a denim jacket over a blue shirt and jeans, as well as a green scarf. She has long, deep red hair, and green eyes. Notably, even before she died, she looked several years younger than she actually was; by the time of her death at age 35, she seemed more or less 30.
In the AU
Her fate in the AU was identical to that of the OU, although she never came back in ghost form.
In the Otherverse
In the Otherverse, Ellen, not Eskay, adopted Skye. Skye was able to fend off the Toxicroak which would have killed her in any other universe, but not before it managed to poison her. She survived and is alive to this day, but Eskay was still left with his crippling Toxicroak phobia.
Relationships
She and her rival, Dylan, are Sarah and Alli's parents.
She is descended from Kaius and Lina.
