Name Basis

Shadow and Sunny are the only two of their family not to be named after their type. Shadow is not named after Shadow the Hedgehog, Shadow from Final Fantasy VI, Shadow from American Gods, or any other character that shares the name.

Personality

Shadow is calm and focused in any situation. In contrast to his youngest brother Sunny, he is cynical instead of idealistic. His usual response to any unusual situation is to simply go along with it. While he does have a considerable amount of aptitude, he rarely does anything with it and is fine with being a servant or understudy.

Abilities in Battle

Shadow's ability to use the attacks of other Eeveelutions makes him potentially the single most powerful and versatile Pokémon on Forte's team. However, he does have combat abilities of his own as well. He mainly uses special attacks.

History

Before he started on his journey, Forte decided that he wanted to have a full team of all seven Eeveelutions. He decided to breed Icicle with his parents' Ditto to make this team. Shadow was the first Eevee hatched this way. Shadow had originally decided to evolve into an Umbreon and Sunny to an Espeon, hence their names. However, they both ended up changing their minds and picking the opposite.

Achievements

• Is the second in command of Team Glacier.
• Is the official pilot and repairmon of Team Glacier's airship, due to him being the only one to read the manual.
• Once saved Mezzo, Every, Forte, Onion, and Pianis' lives by telekinetically catching a Wailord-sized rock and throwing it back.
• Taught the rest of his family how to read.
• Translated Pokémon speech to Forte until Forte was armbanded.

Relationships

Shadow is the oldest of Icicle's six children.

In the AU

Shadow is an Umbreon in the AU. After Forte died, he and Sunny were found by Mezzo. Shadow ended up as Mezzo's secretary and advisor in her army. He escaped with Sunny shortly before Black City was invaded by Napoleon, and the two went on to join the resistance.
