Colton's Lucario is the sixth Pokémon he acquired on his initial journey.

Personalities

Lucario

Lucario is the most level-headed member of Colton’s original team, and the most balanced when it comes to being rational yet a good influence. Far from quiet, he knows his place as someone born and raised for battle, especially as one of few characters able to get a consistent read on people and Pokémon alike, from his trainer to his opponents.

Sean

Sean is excitable and favors combat as the best way to know someone. Always eager to meet someone, and perhaps throw down with them, he is perhaps the most energetic of the Original Six. He doesn't have much in terms of Auric ability, but he doesn't mind that much as not every Pokemon around can fight at any range. He has a sense of justice and fairness when it comes to battles, believing that both parties should come out stronger.

D.C.

D.C. is soft-spoken but his interactions on Hasslemon show him to be rather irritable. He doesn't much like to be spoken for or be put in noisy environments, safe for when he's watching Pokémon battle. He specializes in Aura Sight. He has something of a sense of superiority around himself, as he believes himself to be one of the strongest on the team without his trainer's input. This leads to him being quite stubborn and prone to showing off against opponents and moves he deems weaker, to his detriment.

Battle Strategy

Lucario

Lucario is a jack-of-all-trades, able to do anything his species can reasonably do. With a wide variety of tools at his disposal, he's most likely to win against any random opponent, especially since he's also the one "active" when Mega-Evolved.

Sean

Sean is very agile and very powerful physically, shunning defenses wholly in favor of damage output and speed. As a downside, he also prefers to not use special attacks, as they're unfair in his eyes to a good brawl.

D.C.

D.C. is, to quote his trainer, “deliberate [and] very powerful”. He favors to only move when he has to, but when he lands a hit, he hits hard. Consequently, every move he has in his arsenal is a special attack, as he can channel his disdain through them to an extent, almost like an innate Nasty Plot. So he believes, anyway.

Trivia

  • Prior to his acquisition of Lucarionite, Lucario wore his Expert Belt around his head, Sean wore it around his waist and D.C. wore it around his eyes.
  • His split personalities are named after Sean Schemmel and D.C. Douglas, who were also the inspirations for their respective fighting styles, as they respectively voiced both Son Goku from Dragon Ball and Albert Wesker from Resident Evil.
  • Sean and D.C. respectively only using physical and special attacks is actually just preference. They could use other attacks if they wanted to, but they don't.
  • Technically, Lucario caught Colton the first time he was turned into a Rockruff. He elected to not bind him under The Vow, though.
  • According to the Hall of Fame, Lucario’s first trainer was named Andrew.
    • According to another series of posts, his trainer's full name was Andrew Rekkana.
