Name Basis
Coldsteel is named after Coldsteel the Hedgeheg, a meme making fun of Sonic fan characters. In universe, when Pianis asked his name he responded with "cold steel", and considering his Ice/Steel typing Pianis found it to be a fitting name.
Personality
Coldsteel is perpetually in a grim mood, usually brooding over something or other. This is mostly an act, but he is highly dedicated to staying in character.
He insists it is pronounced "personnel", not "personal".

Coldsteel is currently the weakest member of Pianis' team, and has had little opportunity to showcase himself in battle.

History
When attempting to cross to Mount Lanakila, Pianis found himself stopped by a pair of guards who refused to let him through as he had not completed all the island trials. While arguing with them he was ambushed by Coldsteel wielding an Icium Z, and decided to take both with him.
Relationships
Coldsteel is interested in seeing if he can use some of Cinnamon's ice to add red highlights to his shell. Naturally he thinks this will look even cooler once he evolves to Sandslash.
