Name Basis

Yukikaze's name means "snow wind" in Japanese, and it is also the name of a Samurai weapon skill in Final Fantasy XI.

Personality

Like his trainer, Yukikaze is generally laid-back and aloof in most situations. He becomes anxious in high heat, as he fears it may melt him.

Abilities in Battle

Yukikaze, like most of Pianis' Pokémon, is mainly focused around special attacks and using hail to his advantage. His ability Ice Body helps out in that regard.

History

Pianis met Yukikaze at an ice cream stand in Castelia City, where he was mistaken for a Casteliacone. Pianis was getting ready to start his journey at the time and simply decided to catch Yukikaze instead of getting a usual starter.

Relationships

Yukikaze is afraid of Cerberus, due to an incident at the Snowpoint Gym where she nearly melted him.
