Cuddles

Cuddles is Leonard Braker's Galvantula, and the second Pokemon he acquired on his journey.

Personality

Cuddles is a very sweet, friendly, and cheerful Pokemon who is always willing and ready to help and befriend others. As his name implies, Cuddles' favorite thing to do is to give out free hugs to anybody he meets, whether they be friend, foe, or stranger. Thus far, he has done this multiple times, most notably with Star, Kimberly Bond, and Ian- all three of whom have greatly appreciated the hugs. Cuddles also enjoys giving out cookies to anybody he meets, which they also usually enjoy. Of course, regarding both hugs and cookies, Cuddles always makes sure to ask the person in question first. Cuddles is also willing to comfort somebody whenever they need it- usually with a warm and fuzzy hug. When he's not busy hugging or handing out free food to people and Pokemon, however, Cuddles is a very fun-loving and excitable soul. He has a love of music and enjoys singing to himself, and whenever the chance to do karaoke arrives- as seen during the Hammerlocke banquet- Cuddles will immediately jump at the chance to sing. He is also very supportive of other people and Pokemon's accomplishments, and cheers them on during battles, karaoke sessions, or the like. This especially applies to other members of his species, which he will refer to as "floof frens"- as he did with 9-Volt when he, Walter and Braker watched Colton's Gym Battle. Despite this, however, Cuddles is easily the least patient of the three (between him, Braker, and Walter), and will sometimes have to be reminded to keep his excitement down or to wait for things, especially by Walter. In a similar vein to Walter, Cuddles has not yet been seen in battle; however, it is implied that he is a very good battler due to the fact that Braker has all eight Galar Gym Badges by his debut. Additionally, it is also implied that the "giving out free hugs and cookies" thing also applies to his battling opponents, though this has yet to be seen. Cuddles' speech contains a large amount of tildes (~), especially before an exclamation or question mark and especially during moments when he gets particularly excited.

Like Walter, Cuddles is often seen travelling outside of his PokeBall.

Trivia

• Cuddles was named in part due to his love of hugs, but also because Goldenheart388 wanted Cuddles to have "a warm and fuzzy-sounding name" to match with his kindhearted personality, and decided that calling him "Cuddles" would elicit warm and fuzzy feelings and make people think of snuggly things. Her ultimate goal was to have even arachnophobes be less afraid of Cuddles despite him being a Galvantula due to his sweet nature.
• According to Goldenheart388, Cuddles' Hasslemon handle is floofSpooder (FS), which is both how she refers to Galvantula and how Cuddles refers to all other members of his species.
