Clara Neght (Common Conkeldurr: Coco, meaning “child/beige”), usually referred to as Clara, is a Gurdurr living in far eastern Unova in the large Timburr settlement known as Coconuro Town. She has the ability to speak Galarian/Unovan and co-founded the PSE organization to aid other Pokémon in doing so as well.

Appearance

Clara is a slightly taller than average Gurdurr, wearing a miniature turquoise and blue hat atop her beehive-like hair. She has two small pigtails on either side of her lower head and a bandage across the bridge of her nose.

She bears a trainer’s sash designed to hold 6 active Pokéballs, a remote PC and a back-pocket Rotomphone. It currently bears 3 Unovan gym badges as well as an embedded Everstone.

Personality

Usually a rather casual Mon, Clara’s enthusiasm rises upon meeting another human, especially a fellow Trainer. She frequently peruses the Internet and is a regular user of Luvdiscord.

Despite being a Pokémon herself, she prefers battling as a Trainer rather that as herself due to her upbringing. Clara is very non-contact, squeaming upon the lightest touch of her violet artery-bands. Headpats are her weakness, however, as they shift her into a wave of calmness.

Personal History

Born and raised in Coconuro Town to her mother and a resident Ditto, she set out to visit Galar with her mother in search of human trainers she could become friends with. After a quick peek into the Turffield Gym, she bumped into Tommy and Beck, who agreed to take her to the Stormchaser to visit the Galarian PEFE headquarters. On the way there, she learned partially of the Pokefutures company and its shutdown.

Personal Details

• Clara learnt to speak Unovan by both copying other around her and enrolling into public school. Much of her time as a student was spent as a Timburr up until her third-to-last grade.
• Her mother, despite not speaking her second language, supported her decision to become a trainer. In turn, Clara captured her in her Master Ball to keep her safe in case Team Plasma ever raided her hometown.
• She often explores at nighttime, one such sleep-deprived expedition resulting in her chasing an Audino up to Galar (somehow) and capturing an Alcremie by mistake.

• Laura is the only Pokémon of Clara’s that can speak Galarian, although only partially.
• During her signup test, Clara managed to confuse a Team Plasma grunt just by existing.
