Wallace (NPC)

Wallace (whether it is a name or surname is unknown) is the Hoenn League Champion in the present of the WAAPT Timeline, alongside Steven, and filled the position while Steven left to join the main group in some of their adventures.

He is a man who likes nature and contests, but resents some of the problems that come with the position. For example, he is usually targeted by advertising companies related to Pokémon Contests to use him for marketing purposes.

Wallace is first introduced in the New Year of 2012 when, shortly after the celebrations, he was being held hostage by an advertising company at the Lilycove Dept. Store to sign stuff for his fangirls. He asked Lance, who was visiting, to rescue him, but Lance fled.

After that, Silent meets Wallace in Mossdeep City while the Champion is trying to escape the advertising companies; he and Silent reach an agreement where Wallace offers Silent transportation and Silent offers the location of a hidden and isolated Fossil Preserve in Wales Island. The two go there and have some minor adventures with the Proctor couple.

Wallace is mentioned assisting the evac and crowd control in Evergrande during the Hoenn Caldera finale.

His Pidgey Screenname is "Badass Wallace".

When not in the Gym his place is taken by his former mentor Juan.

Team

Wallace's team is a combination of the games and the Pokémon Special manga, but is also not completely explored:

• His main partner is a male Milotic; known moves are Aqua Ring and Aqua Tail.
• Françoise: the male Walrein he has in the Special manga.
• Paco: the Ludicolo from his Gym team.
• A random Luvdisc that is only mentioned.
• A Wailord which he can summon thanks to his "Captain Planet"-esque Ring of Water.

Challenges

Some of the main characters challenged him and beat him offscreen near the end of the Hoenn Arc.
