Stormchaser

The Stormchaser is an airship owned by the J-Team which was originally stolen from the Illusion Project after it was crashed and abandoned, before being further upgraded by the PEFE. Its schematics were originally made by the Mobius Society, before Echo stole them during her break off from the organization. Over the years the airship has only gotten stranger as time has gone on.

Flag

When going into combat, a single black flag containing a Pokémon font "J" is raised, replacing its usual plain white flag.

Armaments

The Stormchaser's concealed armory includes but is not limited to:

  • Containment gel guns for taking down flying targets non-lethally
  • Swivel guns for precision aiming
  • Broadside cannons
  • Bottom-facing cannons

Specs

  • Max. Flight Altitude: An indeterminate point within the thermosphere. (/w vacuum-sealing upgrade obtained during Delta Episode)
  • Max. Occupancy: At least 23 people, space expands internally to accommodate new J-Teamers.
  • Max. Speed: Unknown, but can reach anywhere in the world within 24 hours.

Special Traits

Due to originally being made with Mobius Society tech, the Stormchaser is far larger on the inside than its relatively small outward size would suggest, and even creates new rooms for its occupants as needed. It also has an entrance to the Ersatz Alliance store inside.

During the Galar Arc, following an argument over what the J-Team ought to be following their actions at the Final Shell, Tagg suggested that the J-Team focus on what the J-Team meant to them, as the Stormchaser itself seemed to be capable of granting their wishes, with Ur, Victini, and Uxie all observing/helping. Their combined wishes made a sigil, and the Stormchaser gained full sapience as a result, serving as not only the J-Team's home, but also its protector.

Odd Abilities Post-Sapience

  • Those with ill-intentions towards the J-Team or those they're harboring will find it harder if not outright impossible to enter the airship.
  • Karmic Backing:
    • If a fight of some kind breaks out on the Stormchaser, it will always favor the J-Team and disadvantage their attackers.
    • Appeals to a villain's morality will work out better than they might otherwise aboard the Stormchaser, though are still not completely guaranteed.
  • Internal Space Manipulation:
    • Corridors can stretch infinitely, preventing enemies who somehow manage to enter from going in deeper, though the exit will always remain the same distance away.
    • Certain vital areas will simply not appear to those not trusted enough by the J-Team, particularly the wicked.
  • General feeling of comfiness for J-Teamers aboard the airship, giving them a feeling of home. Conversely, enemies will just feel uncomfortable to outright unnerved, even if they manage to somehow coerce their way on.

Known Major Compartments

Bridge

The Stormchaser's command and control center. Reminiscent of a Helicarrier's bridge, but with proper railings.

Meeting Room

A circular room used to discuss things such as raids. Has a Star Wars-esque holographic projector in the center of the room.

Cargo Bay

For holding large objects.

The Union Room

An innovation made by Echo that serves as a tether for multiversal travel, anyone with a method of accessing the Union Room will appear here. It also redirects all attempts of teleportion to the Stormchaser over to it in order to prevent ambushes.

Trivia

  • The Stormchaser's name was voted for metawise before being implemented.
