Helion, real name Tara Tosun, is an NPC written by Herbert40k and was formerly one of a trio of supervillains led by Earthwyrm.

Biography

Tara was the most level-headed member of the trio, lacking the manic energy or enthusiasm for supervillainous antics of the others. She had a tendency to make dry, caustic remarks at the expense of her teammates, pointing out the flaws in their plans or simply mocking their eccentric behaviour. Nevertheless, she still kept them supplied with technical support and gadgets of her own invention, fulfilling the role of the group's mad (or in this case, relatively sane) scientist.

Following the trio's retirement from costumed capery, she doesn't seem to miss the supervillainous lifestyle, and has since spent her time trying to stop her friends from getting into further trouble. She has an unrequited crush on Batastrophe, which has thus far gone unnoticed by all except Shun and her Heliolisk.

History

Not much has been revealed of Tara's backstory, but it is known that she ran away from home during her early teens and met Dani in Fall City not long afterwards. The two became friends, and later joined up with Earthwyrm to try and better their fortunes.

Tara was first introduced in her alter ego as Helion, assisting Earthwyrm and Batastrophe with their supervillainous antics without any great enthusiasm. After Earthwyrm was forced to give up supervillainy, she and Batastrophe were hired to kidnap Lucius and Alice by Mr. Smith. They succeeded, but the J-Team led a counterattack to recover the pair and Batastrophe was seriously wounded in the following battle, which prompted Tara to surrender herself to the team.

Shortly afterwards, during the Re: Glitch Arc, Tara, Dani and Shun were all trapped together in a recreation of their own memories by the Memory Glitch. The three of them grew close during their efforts to escape, and were eventually able to break free and defeat the glitch. The trio have been fast friends ever since.

Relationships

Tara's best friend is Dani, and the two are inseparable, to the point where one is almost never seen without the other. She has an unrequited crush on Dani, but chose not to pursue it, believing that it would not be reciprocated and that it would be taking advantage of her best friend. She is also a close friend and confidant of Shun.

Appearance

Helion's costume is, as her chosen name suggests, Heliolisk-themed. She wears a baggy yellow jumpsuit, a black ruff collar with orange trim, and a black helmet that covers her face entirely. Out of costume, she is a tall young woman with dusky skin, brown eyes, and long dark hair that reaches down to her waist.
