In battle, Gilmour has shown himself to be surprisingly adept; his main battle strategy involves confusing the opponent before hitting them with Hex for double damage. |

Personality
If Orwell's oddity was Newspeak, and Peechee's oddity was Nadsat (and also a kind of-split personality), Gilmour's oddity is a complete and utter obsession with mortality. Gilmour is very mysterious and pessimistic, often muttering to himself about visions that he has recently been having. These visions are frequently related to his own mortality, which he is very frightened of. Thus far, Gilmour has had a single vision in the roleplay, and it was preceded by his eyes glowing pink. The vision consisted of Gilmour's head breaking off from his body before a spirit rises from it. Gilmour rarely expresses any emotion besides sorrowful disdain and fear, and often has a habit of pausing every two or three words; for example, the phrase "I believe my demise is imminent" becomes "I believe... my demise... is imminent..." Gilmour is also rather literal- especially when it comes to words such as "sick", "dead", "corpsing", and so on. His first line on-screen was him misunderstanding Gallag's surfer lingo when the latter referred to Zacian and Zamazenta as "sick" (as in "awesome"). Despite his mysterious behavior, however, Gilmour is very much a caring Pokemon who is desperate for a chance to live his life to the fullest, to the point where it was the main reason why he accepted Kim's invitation to come with her in the first place. He later reinforced this belief on New Year's Day, accepting his vision that claimed he would die in Stow-on-Side. Eventually, however, upon making it to Stow-on-Side, it was revealed that the visions that Gilmour had supposedly been having about his death were actually foreseeing his evolution into a Cursola, which happened against Allister in the Stow-on-Side Gym and looked exactly as the vision had predicted. In battle, Gilmour has shown himself to be surprisingly adept; his main battle strategy involves confusing the opponent before hitting them with Hex for double damage.
Kim's personality file on him reads as follows:
"NEW POKEMON CAUGHT: GILMOUR THE GALARIAN CORSOLA. IN A WORD, HE IS... VERY MYSTERIOUS. HE IS ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED WITH HIS MORTALITY AND APPARENTLY HAS HAD PSYCHIC VISIONS— OF HIS OWN DEATH. I HOPE TO ARCEUS THAT HE IS NOT, IN FACT, ACTUALLY FORESEEING HIS DEATH, AS TO HAVE ONE OF MY POKEMON ACTUALLY DIE WOULD BE NOTHING IF NOT A TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE. BESIDES, HE IS A GHOST-TYPE— AREN'T THEY PRACTICALLY IMMORTAL?"
