Paul is Kimberly Bond's Butterfree, and the first Pokemon she acquired on her journey.

Much like his namesake Beatle, Paul the Butterfree is cheerful, modest, and generally a peacekeeper. Absolutely nothing fazes him, not even Fire or Rock-type Pokemon, and he will usually stop a fight from happening before even daring to get into one himself.
