A Templar grown and assembled for The School, Maurice was assigned to rank and file status and given the title "The Acceptable" due to meeting the bare minimum for Templar quality standards. This eventually led him to be assigned to Victor Moreau, and he's been his toady ever since.
Maurice alternates between nervous and timid and exasperated and snarky. He resents The School's treatment of him but feels he has no choice but to stay with them. Maurice's sole source of comfort is his Clauncher Bubba Gump, who is basically his only real friend.
