Fortissimo Morendo

Fortissimo Morendo, or Fortis for short, is the youngest of the four Morendo siblings. She is just starting her Pokémon journey. Like her siblings Mezzo and Pianis, she plans to specialize in a specific type; for her, Flying types.

Appearance

In contrast to her sister, Fortis loves dresses, hair ribbons, and other stereotypically "girly" attire. She also keeps her hair in a pair of pigtails for this reason.

Personality

Fortis is easily excitable and tends to talk a lot. She loves cute things and will hug any cute Pokémon she finds. Despite her head being firmly stuck in the clouds, she is a surprisingly competent trainer.

Relationships

Fortis and Salamence adore each other, and are rarely seen apart. Fortis always refers to her as "miss cotton bird".

Fortis is also friends with Amber.

Fortis idolizes her big sister, as well as other Flying type specialists like Diane, Skyla, and Gail.

Fortis likes Joseph quite a lot, but is mostly interested in his Altaria, Luciano.

Fortis is rivals with Matthew.

In the AU

In the AU, Fortis was killed offscreen, and came back as a Drifloon. Diane found her in Ecruteak, and caught her, giving her the name "Wisp".

Wisp's identity was revealed later when she met Mezzo in Black City, after the mon bombs were dropped.

In the PMD-B universe, Wisp is still alive as a Drifblim, and spends most of her days floating over the ruins of Black City.

Trivia

• Fortis and Katie were the youngest secondary PCs until Amber arrived, both being only 10 years old when they joined. In addition, both entered the RP with only their starter Pokémon.
• Of the four Morendo siblings, Fortis is probably the closest in personality to her parents.
• Fortis loves Pokémon Musicals, and her parents used to take her to them all the time.
• Felis strongly dislikes Fortis, but would never attempt to harm her beyond weak scratches and bites, as he knows that Mezzo is protective of her little sister.
• Though she has participated in two arcs before, Fortis had yet to fight a true battle against another trainer until she met Matthew in Violet City.
• Despite being a complete novice, Fortis had not yet lost a battle against another trainer until Pryce beat her. She managed to gain 6 badges on her winning streak.
• Fortis wants to become a Flying type Elite Four, after meeting an Elite Four named Gail who was actually her future self.
• Fortis likes to hang out in high places, including on the roofs of buildings. She once got into trouble for sitting on the roof of the Bell Tower.
• Neuron, Azzy, and Echo all share a birthday with Fortis, since all three hatched from their eggs on her birthday.
• Fortis assumes any cute mon she meets is female by default, and occasionally forgets the gender of male mons she thinks are cute.
• Fortis has nicknamed Shadow "Pinkie", after a character in My Little Blitzle.
• Fortis likes to give out Pokémon costumes as birthday and Christmas gifts.
• Like Mix, Fortis often refers to mons with two-word descriptors (ex. "cotton bird" for an Altaria). This is because she has a hard time remembering mon names. One of the ones she does know is Eevee; Forte made sure of that.
• Fortis seems to have extremely good luck. By contrast, her brother Forte seems to have extremely bad luck.
• Fittingly for a Flying-type trainer, Fortis is a fan of Valiant Knight Skarmory.
• Fortis is thus far the only member of the Morendo family with a Pokéform that can Mega Evolve.
