Florence is Joseph's Milotic. She is named after Florence Welch, the leader of the band Florence + the Machine, whose songs are often about drowning.

Personality

Florence is calm to the point of sounding bored about everything. While she has affection for her trainer and her team, she rarely shows it openly, and often makes dry remarks concerning their various quirks. The only two times she showed excessive emotion was her evolution and when Joseph and Victor entered the Whirl Islands despite her protests. Florence usually precedes her sentences with a "Hmmm".

Florence loves water and swimming, and never complains about being used as a ferry.

Florence is one of Joseph's best Pokemon, capable of sponging numerous special attacks and retaliating with powerful attacks of her own. Her ability also helps greatly when she is inflicted with status.
