Phoenix is Joseph's Lucario. He is named after Phoenix from the X-Men, before Joseph found out that the Riolu he caught was a boy.

Personality

Phoenix is quite mild to his friends and his trainer. He talks seriously, but politely to all that he sees. Despite this, he greatly enjoys battling, and becomes much more fierce when doing so. Before Joseph could understand Monese, Phoenix was his go-to translator. He tends to never use contractions, except when very emotional or in battle.

Phoenix tends to be awkward around the opposite sex, and often ExtremeSpeeds away in the midst of a conversation.

He is apparently quite feminine looking for a Lucario, leading to some confusion from both Joseph and the makers of the J-Team TV show (where he is played by a girl).

Abilities in Battle

Phoenix uses his Aura less than other Lucarios, or even some humans, but he is nevertheless a fearsome opponent. He was used as his trainer's Fighting type before Joseph caught more. He is a very strong physical attacker, and (though he uses them less often) an even stronger Special Attacker.

History

Phoenix' mother came from the Dream World, and was apparently quite like him in many ways. He did not know his father.

One day, Joseph went to Floccesy Ranch while visiting relatives in Virbank, and caught him. The two became fast friends.

Relationships

Phoenix likes Joseph and his team. He seems to have adopted the role of a big brother to Wolvie.

Phoenix likes other Lucario, such as Audrey, but he and Kirk seem to dislike each other.

Though he doesn't show it, he enjoys antagonizing Felis.
