Coulomb is Tagg's male Eelektross, who he acquired in Chargestone Cave over a week-long timeskip, though when he was introduced he had evolved into an Eelektrik.
Personality
Despite his large size and fearsome appearance, Coulomb is actually fairly docile, though a very skilled battler. Such is his niceness that he will often greet someone with a glomp. (Which can be frightening to the recipient.)

Battle Strategy
Coulomb is a formidable opponent in combat, capable of using a variety of different moves for fighting a variety of opponents, including some that you wouldn't expect. While slow, his cartilaginous skeleton also allows him to contort his body in ways that allow him to avoid a variety of attacks, as shown in Tagg's battle with Luke.
