Daydre is the player character of the troper of the same name.

Appearance

Stands about 5'5", she has brown eyes and wears glasses. Her hair is black and its length depends on author fiat nowadays. She usually wears a red hoodie with some kind of graphic t-shirt underneath. Depending on the season/weather she'll wear either shorts and flip flops or pants and boots. Due to the events of Halloween 2019 she has a long horizontal scar running across the front of her chest.

Bio

Daydre was born and raised in Pastoria. She had a fairly normal childhood, though she didn't really get along with other kids and often ended up alone. In 2009 she challenged the Sinnoh League- becoming gradually more confident along the way. She racked up wins and progressed through the League without much trouble until she hit the Elite 4. At first she took it in stride- sure, the Elite 4 was a little harder than the matches she'd had before, but she could handle it right? It turns out she could not, in fact, handle it- she suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Lucian. Though she'd had losses before, this one felt.. different. It broke her confidence in a way that would take it years to recover. Blaming herself and believing they'd be better off without her, she released her League team save for her starter Rowan and returned home.

Eventually, she recovered enough to start traveling. She wasn't about to seriously try another league soon, but there was something about battles that she couldn't live without. Throughout the next few years she traveled to various regions, including Kanto, Johto, Kalos and Unova. After a little break to save up money, she journeyed to Hoenn.

And it was there she met the J-team.

Alola

Daydre fought up to Lana in the Island Challenge but did not end up completing the League.

Entralink

Using the destabilization caused by the Skybreak, a group of foxmons came from twenty years in the future through the Entralink to warn Daydre of some calamity that was to befall her. They made contact and delivered the news but unbeknownst to them, the Daydre of their time followed them into the present. Going by Daydre's birth name, Ama, this alternate version of Daydre found her and made multiple attempts on her life.

Galar Arc

Daydre travelled to Galar with the J-team and began her league challenge. Early on she met a girl she would later learn was her distant relative Aislinn, and after a feeling of strange familiarity continued on. She also reconciled with her alternate universe self, Ama, and received an Auric Medium belt from her.

In Other Universes

Ama

Ama is an alternate future version of Daydre, from a timeline where Daydre became a vampire. She appeared in the OU during the events of the Entralink Arc. Originally on a mission to find some mons she'd noticed missing from her timeline, she changed objectives upon realizing that said mons had planned to meddle with the OU and made contact with Daydre. For reasons then unbeknownst to Daydre, Ama attacked her with the intent to kill as soon as the two met. From there she went on to make multiple attempts on Daydre's life over the course of the next year, culminating in one final clash on Halloween 2019 wherein Daydre managed to incapacitate her. She was taken into PEFE custody and is currently under something close to house arrest in the Entree Forest until she's able to return to her time.

Early in 2020 Daydre began visiting her and managed to pry some bits of backstory from her, namely that she was, at some point, a superhero and the events that lead to her becoming a vampire. Around September 2019 in Ama's timeline, a vampire that had been targetting Rowan attacked Ama and her team. In the ensuing altercation, Ama was left with aura depletion. In order to survive and save Rowan she drained the vampire to death in return. An ambiguous amount of time later, Ama became a superhero and tried to use her new draining abilities for good. It's unknown what effect she actually had, but Ama later viewed that time in her life very poorly. She claims to have killed a lot of people.

At the end of her superheroing days, she found herself more and more frequently low on aura. Rowan offered his own during these times, and eventually this cost him his life. In a maladaptive attempt to cope, Ama hunted down and killed a corrupt politician she'd been investigating prior to Rowan's death. She was subsequently forced into hiding to avoid arrest and spent the next 14 years living in the Entree Forest.

In her original timeline Ama fought a supervillainous Ditto when she was 26. This version of Ama was summoned to the OU during April Fools 2021, where she proceeded to attack Daydre in the mistaken belief that the latter was the aforementioned Ditto.

• During the 20K Boss Rush Daydre received the gemini sword, a two-bladed blue sword with crescent blades, from Ever.
• In possession of two transformation artifacts; a Zorua themed scarf that functions as a borked armband and an amulet.
• Daydre's aura is a gradated purplish-red color.
• Got a Deflect Looplet from Megan on Valentine's Day 2020.
